Dennis Kucinich, Best Attendance Record in Congress
Special Report by the Creative Youth News Team

2/24/08

Researchers on the Creative Youth News Team are perplexed by the clearly false and fraudulent claims of Joe Cimperman that erroneously criticize Congressman Dennis Kucinich's attendance record.  It is difficult for members of Congress to make all votes as votes sometimes take place during important committee meetings and occasionally take place at midnight when something is being rushed through.  Still, members of the Creative Youth News Team have examined all the House and Senate voting records and have found that Kucinich has been present for more votes than any other member of Congress during his time in office.

Some members of Congress, such as Barack Obama and John McCain, have had poor attendance records.  Obama has missed votes on education, health care, immigration, war funding, and other important issues.  However, Obama is currently the front runner in the race for the Presidency and his supporters do not care.

In contrast, Kucinich has never allowed his campaign to keep him away from House votes.  In 2007, Kucinich was briefly absent due to hospitalization for food poisoning.  Others in Congress have missed considerably more than a brief lapse for food poisoning.

On all important votes, Kucinich has a 100% attendance record that is unparalleled in either House of Congress.

According to Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1), the definition of a liar is "a person who tells lies."  Joe Cimperman's frequent lies about Kucinich's attendance record make him the winner of the Creative Youth News Team's designation of Liar of the Month.

The Creative Youth News Team recommends that the people of Cleveland look past campaign propaganda to the moral character of the candidates in Ohio's 10th Congressional District.  Congressman Dennis Kucinich has a long track record of honesty and integrity.  Joe Cimperman gets a longer track record of lying with each commercial he runs.
