Liberals, peace activists, environmentalists and youth rights supporters across America celebrated from coast to coast as former Congresswoman  and civil rights leader Cynthia McKinney and renowned journalist Rosa Clemente became the Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees of the Green Party, putting the Green Party on the road to getting a sizable percentage of the general election vote.

As a Congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney joined Congressman Dennis Kucinich in leading the opposition to the war in Iraq, opposition to the Patriot Act and opposition to Bush's spying on America.  She was the first member of Congress to look at 9/11/01 and ask questions.  For daring to ask about 9/11, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi punished her by working to defeat her and by removing McKinney's seniority.  This did not deter McKinney.  She called Bush and his Administration on the lies leading to war and filed Articles of Impeachment against George Bush, Dick Cheney and Condoleezza Rice in 2006.

McKinney and Kucinich have led the fight to protect voters rights and to return America to paper ballots.  McKinney and Kucinich have also worked to involve young Americans in the political process by calling for lowering the voting age.

Cynthia McKinney was the star of the documentary American Blackout, which educated Americans on election theft and on the dangers of Black Box voting.

McKinney has also worked to fight for the rights of the people and againts infringements on their liberties. Her knowledge of foreign policy and of the Constitution is unequaled by any current candidate for President of the United States.  Barack Obama and John McCain both supported the FISA spying bill and would keep the troops in Iraq until after 2013.  Whie McCain voted for the war and the PATRIOT Act, Obama voted to renew the PATRIOT Act and continue the war on more than two dozen separate votes.

McKinney is also an environmentalist, standing up for the environment against polluters who sought to get her out of the government.  An upset victory may give her the power of appointment of the Sercretary of the Interior and the head of the Environmenyal Protection Agency.  The polluters do have something to fear.  While Obama and McCain appear to be loyal to pesticide manufacturer Monsanto, McKinney spoke in support of organic farming.

Rosa Clemente is of Puerto Rican dissent and the first Latina Vice Presidential Candidate.  She has the courage to speak her mind and stand up for the people.  Her acceptance speech at the Green Convention erased any doubt of why McKinney asked her to be her running mate.  Like McKinney, she stands for justice, peace and the right of all human beings to a fullfilling life.  Her oratory and integrity make her the best vice presidential candidate of the 21st Century.  She is a graduate of Cornell, a liberal Ivy League University with liberal instructors and an international student body.  One member of the Creative Youth News Team just finished Summer College at Clemente's Alma Mater and was very impressed with the student body and instructors.

McKinney reached out to women across America, referring to the Seneca Falls Declaration in her acceptance speech. She also reached out to all people, especially to those who have been victims of discrimination. This is in sharp contract to the campaign of Barack Obama, whose campaign has repeatedly denegrated leaders, such as Reverends Jeremiah Wright and Jesse Jackson, because of the wrong positions of Jackson and Wright against discrimination and war.

Unlike Obama, who was raised as a rich write man, McKinney has fought for the righs of minorities, of the poor and of the average person.  This has paid off in her selection as the top half of the Liberal Dream Team.  Curently, McKinney is the only Presidential nominee or presumptive-nominee who is opposed to war with Iran.

Youth rights activists got equal proection into the California Democratic Party Platform.  The delegates to the convention were not given a platform subsequent to the convention containing the equal protection provision prior to the vote.  Then a bait and switch was pulled and a California Democratic Party platform which omitted equal protection was put up at the California Democratic Party site by the very people who are backing Barack Obama.  The current California Democratic Party platform is a FRAUD.  Youth rights activists do not expect much more from a national convention that has turned from seeking people support to seeking corporate support.

McKinney and Clenmente have always been true to their word and they enjoy massive support among Americans who put integrity above poltics and politcal parties.  Ron Paul supporters and Dennis Kucinich supporters are ready to back McKinney for President of the United States.  McKinney is the candidate who is expected to unite freedom and peace supporters across America.  While the mass media may want to hide their candidacy, the people know the truth and populist leaders are escpecting an unprecedented third party vote this year
