FIRST THEY DUMB YOU DOWN; THEN THEY KEEP YOU IGNORANT

The U.S. Government seems to have taken Hermann Goering's advise to heart: "Education is dangerous - every educated person is a future enemy.
"  Kids spend thirteen of the first eighteen years of their lives learning how to avoid learning.  Next they expect to have the opportunity to learn in college but find that college is too expensive for most.

The Democratic Party has pulled a fast one on the American people.  It is supposed to support education.  Instead, it supports forced schooling, where kids are forced into a non-learning environment with no rights.  Much has been written about Anthony Soltero.  He committed suicide after learning his vice-principal planned to have him jailed for years for having a learning experience about civil rights.  No learning takes place in forced schooling.  Children sit like robots.  Other kids act like social guards.  Kids who don't fit in have their lunch money stolen or get beaten by other kids.  This is the Democratic Party's idea of how to treat children.   The Democrats want to go one step further.  They want to turn kids below five into mindless robots through forced pre-schooling.  Lots of liberal groups oppose forced pre-schooling.  Pre-school initiatives regularly fail in California elections.

Albert Einstein said, "It is, in fact, nothing short of a miracle that the modern methods of instruction have not entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry."  The Democratic Party has found the way to destroy curiosity and kill early learning.  Thinking people tend to vote Democrat.  This forced schooling is not in the interests of the Democratic Party.  Why do they go against their interests?  Organizations like the California Teachers Association own the California Democratic Party.  The Democratic Party just might openly barbecue kids on the street if the California Teachers Association asked them to.  Last year, the resolutions committee of the California Democratic Party took a vote to oppose human rights for children and senior citizens.  The motion was out of order and they took it back.  The teens who reported on the vote stated that because the committee believed that Nancy Pelosi and the California Teachers Association wanted the committee to oppose human rights for younger and older Americans.  This makes a person want to wash his or her hands when they get near the Democratic Party.

The Republican Party has a mixed record on education.  The Republicans initially supported forced schooling.  Now, the Republican Party has decided that most public schools are not right wing enough and support abandonment of the public schools.  Republican parents take their kids to right wing private schools or homeschool them in hate.   A favorite speaker at right-wing homeschooling conventions is Josh McDowell.  Some time back, he spoke at a Christian Home Educators of America conference.  His speech could be classified as racist hate speech.  He encouraged killing and death.  He talked of how 30 Arab virgins were not worth half as much as his wife.  This is the kind of hate the Republican Party expects Christian homeshoolers to instill in their children.

The Republican and Democratic Parties consider children to be pawns.  The Democrats use children to get contributions from the teachers' organizations. The leaders of the Democratic Party don't care that they are costing the children a decent education and are condemning the children to lives of ignorance and servitude.  The Republicans want the children brainwashed to further the causes of the Republican Party.  Both approaches are wrong.

The best approach is freedom.  Kids should have the right to receive the education of their choice at an early age.  The education should be optional and they should be allowed freedom.  What if kindergarten were conducted at beaches and in parks and what if kids didn't have to listen to the teacher?  What if kids could take calculus or study Shakespeare in first grade?  What if kids could take days off to march in civil rights protests without threats?  This is what school kids are asking for.

Homeschooling is a great approach for liberals.  Most of the greatest scientists and leaders in America and the world were homeschooled.  Formal schooling would have destroyed their minds.  Nothing can be done about Republican homeschoolers.  However, their numbers would go down if the Democrats embraced homeschooling.   Republican homeschoolers use fear of arrest to entice people to their organizations.  Nobody is in danger of being arrested.  Republicans lie about the threat. The Democratic Party would like to see homeschoolers arrested.  It's not going to happen.  There is a legal right to homeschool in America. It's a good thing the Democrats don't get their way on the issue. America would still be in the depression of 1929 if they had arrested FDR and his parents.

College education is different.  Students have rights, freedom and a chance to learn in college.  College education for high school graduates is not a priority for the Democratic Party.  There is a difference between talk and action.  Democrats have been in control of the California legislature for years.  College tuition has gone way up.  College tuition went way up nationally under Bill Clinton.  How many Democrats have enacted universal college bills?  The only Democrat who has done anything to bring universal college is Dennis Kucinich.  Is the Democratic Party rallying behind him in his bid for the Presidency?  It doesn't appear to be.  Kucinich's support comes from the people.

The Republicans aren't doing anything to make college affordable, either.  Many are rich.  Republican applicants generally score higher on entrance exams because private academies and homeschooling families are more effective for preparing for college than the public schools.  The quality of public schools always goes down under Republican administrations.  Ronald Reagan is credited with destroying education in California and in America.  Under Reagan, California dropped from first place to last place in test scores.  Under Reagan, the United States dropped from first to last in test scores.  The Republican Party doesn't care if the majority of Americans get into college.  The Republicans want to be a ruling class and it is hard to rule when everyone has an education.

Parents are told to save $5000 per year for 18 years so their kids can get into college.  How many do?  The kids with $90,000 in the bank when they start college are not going to be from middle class or poor families.  $90,000 will not pay for four years of college.  College plus law school is seven years.  The average annual college tuition is $30,000.  $30,000 times four is $120,000.  $30,000 times seven is $210,000.  This does not include books, room and board and other expenses.  Going to lesser known colleges doesn't help with the bill.   Unknown colleges are as expensive as Harvard.   Next year, tuition at a college named Harvey Mudd, probably named after Star Trek's Harry Mudd's brother, is $33325.  Harvard is $33,709.   California's UC system is a joke.  It is impossible to get into for most.  Students getting there wonder why they have to take five years of college to get a four year degree because of a lack of available classes.

The Democratic and Republican Parties are both directly to blame for the bad education and the expensive education.  The solution is to dump both major parties in the nearest trash can and vote independent or for individual candidates.  Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich believes all college should be free.  It is part of his campaign.   He's the only one with a solution to the disaster.  He is known for keeping his campaign promises.  Sounds like a winner to me.
