Yesterday members of the Creative Youth News Team attended a
hearing regarding resolutions for human rights and immigrant
rights. Their report from the California Democratic Party
Executive Board shocked the members of the CY News Team and have caused
members to ask why Gulag camps and torture and murder are acceptable to
the Democratic Party and why the tearing of parents away from children
in front of churches is acceptable to the Democratic Party. The
apparent answers make the news team wonder why anyone who supports
human rights or immigrants would ever vote Democratic again.
As reported by one of our team members, Gulag schools are a $1.2
billion dollar industry and the fastest growing industry outside of
prisons. In these schools, children are tortured, raped and
killed. Some dehydrate or are starved to death. Some are
found hung or dead by other reasons. A long list of names of the
dead was presented at the Executive Board hearing. Reports of
kids being forced to eat vomit and of being required to brush their
teeth with toothbrushes they were forced to use to clean toilets were
heard. School Trustee John Hanna stood against human
rights, noting that a child should not have any rights with regards to
statutory rape. Under Hanna's reasoning, the adult is the
only
one who can determine whether it is OK to rape a child. On Hanna's
recommendation, the committee voted not to give children the human
right
to say "no" to rape, or any other human rights. On what
kind of School
Board does Hanna serve? Is this how they view the rights of
students? Has Hanna personally referred any of the dead to
the Gulag Schools? Hanna regularly endorses Republican Ed
Royce for Congress and is considered a big business person. Is
Hanna in any way connected to this $1.2 billion dollar industry of
torture and death?
According to Mr. Hanna, an author is no longer
the person who writes something, but rather the person the Democratic
Party tells the world is allowed to be an author - even though that
person did not write the words or come up with an
idea. Under Hanna's definition, if someone Ted Smith
knew were to have Ted Smith present John Lennon's
Imagine
to the committee, the author of the song would become Ted Smith and not
John Lennon. Ted Smith would be out of order in saying that John Lennon
wrote
Imagine. Hanna
claimed that this definition of the word "author" is part of the new
California Democratic Party bylaws.
Last year, delegate caucuses were
rigged and potential state central committee delegates were tricked
into
turning down appointments as delegates on promises of other bogus
appointments to the state central committee. Based on certain of
Hanna's comments at the Executive Board meeting, some present suspected
that he may have been the
mastermind behind the rigging and bogus offers. In April, the
California Democratic Convention ended in a near-riot after Hanna
promised three resolutions on the topic of Iraq, resulting in those
believing his offer to approve a resolution Hanna wanted, and then
losing
the other two to a quorum call. These kinds of dirty tricks are
the reason many members of the California Democratic Party and getting
fed up with California Democratic Party business as usual.
Terrorizing of and minimizing youth is standard operating
procedure in the California Democratic Party. Robert Jordan, who
put together the lists of potential delegates, refused to allow young,
newly-registered Democrats to even be considered for delegate status in
the delegate caucuses of January, 2007. Certain members of this
news team were the uncredited founders of the Progressive Caucus of the
California Democratic Party. One was elected an officer.
That youth officer was badgered and threatened by adult officers and
finally had her election unilaterally overturned by the adult
officers.. She and other youths were expelled from the caucus in
a
verbally abusive fashion. They were not even allowed to respond
to attacks made by Pediatrician Jo Olson and others against the younger
generation. Less than a year after this abusive incident,
Pediatrician Jo Olson led another abusive incident at the CDP Platform
Committee hearing. Dr. Olson used her professional credentials to
tell
the committee that those under 18 had smaller, inferior brains and to
attack their very ability to think. This was in response to
a platform plank calling for the lowering of the voting age. Dr.
Olson's presentation was so unsettling that, when one of the proponents
of that motion entered a platform hearing room at this weekend's
executive board meeting and saw Dr. Olson sitting at the front of the
platform committee, the youth knew she and her generation would not
receive a fair hearing. A video of comments made by Congressman
Dennis Kucinich, a strong advocate of youth issues was shown in support
of lowering the voting age. Also shown was a video of part of
George
Miller's hearing on Gulag Schools. Because of that committee's
strong anti-youth bias, it is doubtful that anything supportive of
America's youth will ever come out of that committee.
However, some of the committee members did request an article from this
site presenting more information on Gulag schools.
In the past, the California Democratic Party has been unmoved by the
death
of Anthony Soltero, a 13 year old by who was driven to suicide by his
vice principal because Anthony led an immigration march. It was
unmoved by the torture of young elementary students because of a missed
school day. The actions of this weekend should not have been a
surprise. In 2003, an elementary-aged youth was assaulted
and
battered by a security guard at a California Democratic Party special
session that had been called for the purpose of endorsing Cruz
Bustamonte for Governor of California. Children were escorted out of
the
convention center onto the street in a high crime area while they
were supposed to be
waiting for their parents inside the convention center in the lobby
during that
endorsement
session. This conduct is inconsistent with the appearance the
Democratic Party gives of supporting the young.
There were some positive reports from the Executive Board
meeting. Resolutions Chairwoman Inola Henry was said to be
strongly
supportive of human rights for the youth. She took
the time to meet with members of this team and to express her support
for their generation and its causes. Action was taken by the
resolutions committee in support of recognizing Claudette Colvin, the
15-year-old who was the true mother of the civil rights movement, and
in support of freeing the Jena Six.
The Democratic Party's opposition to immigrant rights is not something
that has gone unnoticed in the immigrant community. Many
immigrants and citizens descended from immigrants are registering as
Greens and as declines to state. Experts believe the Democratic
Party has lost most of its hold on the immigrant community. Bills
pushed by Democrats in the U.S. Senate this year were considered racist
and supportive of creating a slave labor class of immigrants with no
rights.
According to Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary, the definition of
author is
1 a: one that originates or
creates : source <software authors>
<film authors> <the author of this crime>
b capitalized
: god 1
2: the writer of a literary
work (as a book)
The Creative Youth News Team
recommends that John Hanna refer to a dictionary before continuing to
educate others. If the new bylaws are as John Hanna represents them to
be, the CreativeYouth News Team recommends they be sent to the Tonight
Show writers for use in Jay Leno's opening monologue after the end of
the Writers Guild of America strike.
In an earlier report, it was stated that Melahat Rafiei was reportedly
the head of the Edwards campaign in Orange County. This
report came from statements of an executive board member of the
Democratic Party of Orange County that were made at a public
meeting. Since that time, Ms. Rafiei has denied being the head of
the Edwards campaign in Orange County. Edwards recently lost 49
out of
50 states in the Democracy for America poll, that included more than
150,000 named DFA participants. His one victory was in the State
of Washington.
