HIDE YOUR DOGS TO PRESERVE THE SPECIES
PET OWNERS CALL FOR RESIGNATION OF ASSEMBLYMAN JOSE SOLORIO

August 20, 2008

Angry dog owners are calling for the resignation of Assemblyman Jose Solorio over AB 1634, the Pet Extinction Act, aimed and wiping out all dog and cat life in California. One dog extinction advocate, Assemblyman Lloyd Levine, lost his last election by a landslide.  The pet owners let him know that their dogs ruled at the polls in June, 2008.  Angry pet owners put together bumper stickers advocating the spaying and neutering of politicians like Levine.  State legislators who follow Solorio's career-ending move to keep dogs out of the hands of Californians may find their seats evaporating in November as well.   Solorio's only solice is that he is running as an unopposed Democratic in a  strong Democratic district.  He will have two years to distance himself from the legislation before AB1634 ends his political career.

Why do the special interests behind Solorio want to wipe dogs and cats off the map of California?   Dogs protect their owners and eliminating of dogs is a way of leaving people and youth defenseless against predators.  One youth rights activists suggests that perhaps a dog bit Solorio when he was a child.  Another suggests that Solorio may have been bought off by an out-of-state high priced breeder, who wants to wipe out all California competition so that dogs are only available to multi-millionaires for millions of dollars.  "Collie pup available now for only 15 million dollars.   Last one in existence."  Imagine the profits that lone breeder will get for sequels to Lassie.   If Solorio has his way, the top dog in America will earn his status by being alive.

Organizations like "Save Our Dogs" and "Petpac" are working overtime to protect the rights of dog owners.  One heroic state senator, Lou Correa, has informed dog survival advocates that he will oppose the legislation.  Lou Correa has a history of being very responsive to the voters.

Will pet owners be out in force in November?  Will man's best friend have the last word in the election of 2008?
