Today, in a speech on the floor of Congress, Representative Dennis J. Kucinich delivered 35 Articles of Impeachment against George W. Bush.  Public opinion polls show the vast majority of Americans are behind Dennis J. Kucinich.

Americans often consider Kucinich's name to be synonymous with the word "integrity."   He is called the "Conscience of Congress."  In April, 2007, Dennis J. Kucinich filed House Resolutiion 333, Articles of Impeachment against Dick Cheney.  On November 6, 2007, he brought his Articles of Impeachment to the floor of Congress.  Despite attempts from the Democratic House Leadership to stop the impeachment of Bush, Kucinich's Articles against Dick Cheney beat a tabling motion.  However, with only five Democrats in the House responding to mass calls for impeachment from the American public, the Articles were sent to the Judiciary Committee John Conyers chairs. There, they continue to sit as Conyers appears to the public to be afraid to move them forward.  Speaker Nancy Pelosi never fails to use her power to keep Democrats in line.   Sources have told the CY News Team that she has used that power to put committee chairs into fear that they will lose their committee chairmanships if they back impeachment.

This year, incumbent Democrats are facing unparalleled opposition in their primaries.  Nancy Pelosi is in danger of losing her seat to Gold Star Mother for Peace Cindy Sheehan.  The Democratic Leadership funded opponents, sympathetic to Bush,  in Kucinich's Democratic primay race, but those opponents were soundly defeated, with the strongest challenger losing by approximately a two to one margin.  The people of Kucinich's district sent a strong message to Pelosi that they were firmly behind Kucinich.

Kucinich is also the candidate who firmly supports young Americans.  Youth activists are expecting Kucinich to introduce legislation in the near future to lower the voting age.

Kucinich's courage in filing Articles of Impeachment against Dick Cheney guaranteed him a place in history.  Today, from coast to coast, Americans are applauding his courage in filing Articles of Impeachment against George W. Bush   To his supporters, Kucinich's courage comes as no surprise.  They will tell you that courage and leadership are what they've come to expect of Kucinich.
