America is waiting to see if the only candidate who is standing up for
the people of Nevada will be allowed into the 2008 Presidential debates
NBC is hosting in Las Vegas today.
The number one issue on the minds of Nevada voters is the Yucca
Mountain Nuclear Repository, which threatens the food and water
supplies of Nevada and California and the health and wellbeing of the
Nevada and California people, children and unborn. Yucca
Mountain, an inactive volcano located above a major earthquake fault,
was chosen as the national nuclear dumpsite on the basis of falsified
documentation that failed to detail the fact that normal rainfall
levels would cause the ground water level to rise into the containment
vessel and carry the radiation through to the Colorado River, the
source of much of California's water supply. One of the largest
organic farms in the United States is close to Yucca Mountain and there
is a risk that millions of residents of Nevada will incur radiation
poisoning if the dumpsite is completed. The states through which
the nuclear waste would be carried would also be endangered by the
possiblity of a major nuclear accident durring transportation of highly
radioactive materials.
John Edwards voted with the Senate Republicans to override Clinton's
veto of Yucca Mountain as a temporary nuclear dumpsite. The vote
failed because of the strong opposition to Yucca Mountain.

John Edwards went further. He voted with Bush to make Yucca
Mountain a permanent nuclear dumpsite.for high-level radiation.

Yucca Mountain would have been a dead project without funding, and
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have voted to fund it so that it will
be completed.

Of the candidates running for President of the United States, only
Dennis Kucinich has remained firm in his opposition to the use of Yucca
Mountain for a national nuclear repository. NBC wants to pretend
that the champion of the people of Nevada is no longer in the debate as
part of NBC's seeming effort to fix the voting in the Nevada
Caucuses..
NBC's motives run deeper than Yucca Mountain. NBC is owned by
General Electric, one of the biggest profiteers from the war in Iraq
and one of the potential profiteers from war with Iran. NBC
worked to promote the war with Iraq and has worked extensively to
promote war with Iran. Dennis Kucinich is the only candidate who
voted against war with Iraq and who has voted against the buildup to
war with Iran. General Electric will lose money if Dennis Kucinich wins
the presidential election of 2008 and ends the war in Iraq and stops
war with Iran.. This gives General Electric's NBC the motive to
rig the election of 2008. Their license gives the network the
ability to rig that election. Only the Nevada courts stand in the
way.
Will the Supreme Court of Nevada refuse to allow NBC to rig the
debate? Will the Supreme Court of Nevada uphold the ruling of
District Court Judge Charles Thompson that NBC must include
Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich in today's debate?
America wants to know if NBC will be allowed to undermine the
prinicples upon which this country is based. Will America and democracy
triumph. America will soon know.
