A Black Man and A White Woman Cream Edwards in South Carolina
Special Report by the Creative Youth News Team

Dennis Kucinich, who dropped out of the race, was closer in votes to John Edwards than John Edwards was to Barack Obama, the runaway winner.  Edwards has heavily concentrated on South Carolina, his birth state.  He has expressed concern that a black man or a woman cannot be elected in Southern states, such as South Carolina.  The people of South Carolina may have been sending a message to John Edwards that this is 2008.   Edwards has promised to campaign on.  The Academy Awards are in California (one of the Super Tuesday states) and campaigning in California is a lot more fun than admitting defeat.  This is the fourth straight loss for John Edwards out of four races that he's entered in this Presidential contest.

Barack Obama got 55% of the votes.  Hillary Clinton, with 27%, received less than half the vote count of Obama. Edwards finished far behind Clinton for a low third.

This makes two victories for Obama, three for Clinton and none for John Edwards.
At least,  Kucinich won the polls conducted by the Nation, PDA, DFA and IndependentPrimary.com by landslides. Kucinich's supporters are still mourning the exclusion of Kucinich from the debates, which made it nearly impossible for him to get his message to the public.
